Following its visit to the Public Health Agency of Sweden, a delegation from the Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI), together with Africa CDC, also visited ECDC to further strengthen institutional collaboration.

The Director General of EPHI, Dr Mesay Hailu, held discussions with ECDC Director-General Dr Pamela Rendi-Wagner on enhancing cooperation to advance essential public health functions, including national surveillance systems, disease modelling, research, emergency preparedness and response, and laboratory readiness.
The engagement reinforces partnerships between African and European public health institutions and supports ongoing efforts to strengthen collective health security.
