After the former region of South Ethiopia recognized as a new region through referendum, the remaining seven zones and three special woredas following the decision decided by the Federation Council started working as a region of Central Ethiopia.
At Central Ethiopia Region Public Health Institute, our mission is to promote health and well-being in our community through research, public health emergency management, and advocacy.
we are also committed to improving the health of individuals and communities through research on priority health nutrition issues for evidence-based information utilization and technology transfer; effective public health emergency management; establishing quality laboratory system; and training public health researchers and practitioners for best public health interventions…..

በጤና ሚኒስትር ዶ/ር መቅደስ ዳባ የተመራ የጤና ሚኒስቴር ከፍተኛ አመራሮች ልኡካን ቡድን የማዕከላዊ ኢትዮጲያ ክልል የህብረትሰብ ጤና ኢንስቲትዩት ላቦራቶሪን ጎበኘ።

በጤና ሚኒስትር ዶ/ር መቅደስ ዳባ የተመራ ከፍተኛ አመራሮች ልኡካን ቡድን ዛሬ በወራቤ ከተማ የሚገኘውን የክልሉን የህብረተሰብ ጤና ኢንስቲትዩት ላቦራቶሪን ጎብኝቷል።
በጉብኝቱ ወቅትም በጤና ሚኒስትር ዴኤታ ዶ/ር ደረጀ ዱጉማ የክልሉ ጤና ቢሮ ሀላፊ አቶ ሳሙኤል ዳርጌ የክልሉ የህብረተሰብ ጤና ኢንስትቲዪት ዋና ዳይሬክተርን አቶ ማሙሽ ሁሴንን ጨምሮ ሌሎች የክልልና የፌዴራል ከፍተኛ የስራ ሀላፊዎች ተገኝተውበታል።
በክልሉ የህብርተሰብ ጤና ላቦራቶሪ ተወካይ በሆኑት በአቶ ክብረዓብ ገ/ህይወት በኩል ስለ ላቦራቶሪው አሁናዊ ሁኔታ እንዲሁም ላቦራቶሪው በቅርቡ ስለ ሚጀምራችው አንዳንድ አገልግሎቶች ማለትም የHIV Viral Load፣ የEQA እና ሌሎችንም አገልግሎቶች ጨምሮ ለህብረተሰቡ ለመስጠት በዝግጅት ላይ መሆኑን ለልኡካን ቡድኑ ገለጻ ተደርጎላችዋል ።ልዑካን ቡድኑ ባደረጋቸው የጉብኝት ወቅትም በጥንካሬ በለያቸው እና በቀጣይ ላቦራቶሪውን ከማስፋፋት እና ከማጠናከር አንጻር ትኩረት ሊሰጥባችው ከሚገባችው ተግባራቶች አኳያ ከሚኒስትር መስሪያ ቤቱ ጋር በቅንጅት እና በቅርበት ሊሰራባቸው እንደሚገባ ተመላክቷል።

በማዕከላዊ ኢትዮጲያ ጤና ቢሮ ዓመታዊ የጤና ኤክስቴንሽን ፌስትቫል በሆሳዕና ከተማ እየተካሄደ ይገኛል።

The Central Ethiopia Regional Health Bureau & Public Health Institute, in collaboration with Local and international partners, has launched a critical three-day polio vaccination campaign targeting children under five years old. The campaign, which runs from February 21 to 23, 2025, aims to immunize childrens across urban and rural communities in the region.

Butajira Town, Ethiopia – 2-12-2025– The Central Ethiopia Public Health Institute (CERPHI) Data Management Center recently organized a half-day workshop in Butajira Town, focusing on fostering a data use culture among universities and diffrent stakeholders across the region. The event brought together academics, researchers, and public health professionals to emphasize the critical role of data in improving healthcare outcomes and policymaking.
